We are excited to announce that edcamp Detroit will be back at Wayne State University’s College of Education on Saturday May 4th. Yes, this is Star Wars Day, but we ask that you hold off on your Wookie themese festivities until after edcamp Detroit finishes up for the day. You are encouraged to come dressed as a Stormtrooper if you want.

I signed up for this, but I thought more information might be forthcoming. But there isn’t really much other than it’s an unconference. Is an agenda figured out beforehand? (I’m thinking no) Is an agenda figured out at the beginning of the day and then there are breakouts? or is it all in one room? I’m just looking for a little more info.

Hi Gary – looking forward to seeing you this Saturday! You can find the agenda on the Where & When page. When we meet at the beginning, that’s when people sign up on the board to lead sessions. For each session, there are many rooms, so attendees have to choose where to go, like in a typical conference. The main difference is that anyone can lead a session about anything, with any format, and no one knows what the sessions will be until the day of.
